Cinnamon

In one study where volunteers took between one and six grams of cinnamon daily, cholesterol was decreased by 18% and blood sugar fell by 24% on average. However, some studies have not showed any benefit. It is thought that cinnamon may reduce insulin resistance, making the body better respond to insulin that is either naturally released on injected. Cinnamon may not be safe for some people, especially those who have impaired liver function, so talk to your pharmacist or doctor before starting any new therapy.
